Robert J. White, 77 years old, of Braintree, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on January 13th at Mass General Hospital. He was surrounded by his family, after a battle with COPD and pulmonary hypertension.
Bob, lovingly known to all of us as "Bob" was born February 26th, 1948 in Braintree, raised in Braintree, he graduated from Braintree High School. Bob proudly served in the United States Navy as a aircraft controller. This, like all wars, forever etched in the minds of those who served and their families, he remained a life long and proud veteran of the United States Navy.
Bob will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Christine White. 3 daughters, Pam and husband Danny, Cindy, Julie, son Todd, 3 grandchildren Chloe, Abigail, Ava, and great granddaughter Leilani. Bob will be forever loved and deeply missed by his family. Bob's proudest achievement was 55 years of marriage.
His family of circle extends to his son-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law's, nieces and nephews, all of whom feel his loss deeply.
Bob enjoyed his hobbies! bowling,watching the waves on the beach, watching the Blue Angels, drum and bugle and Boston sports.Bob worked at the Globe for 12 years and John Dean for 20 years as a type writter.
Friends and family will honor and remember Bob's life by gathering at the Peck Funeral Home 516 Washington St. Braintree on Friday January 23rd when his Celebration of life will be held from 1:00 - 4:00 followed by a Prayer Service at 4:00.
